Big Arena Records are planning a launch party in ten weeks time to celebrate the label’s first official release, Electric Baby Grand, the first Enormous album. The album has been remastered and repackaged and we all think it’s a punky little gem.
They have asked me to do a short podcast each week leading up to its release. These will take the form of me singing a song from the album and saying a few words, trying to be funny and sexy. The first is available now on the brand new Big Arena website; so why not get naked, make yourselves a lovely cup of tea and pop on over there for a quick listen?
It was my first time and I was a little nervous, shaking like a French soldier - you know how it is - but I feel better now for having done it and I think it has made me more of a man, better prepared to take on anything that the world may throw at me.
The coming weeks will also see the release of Nelson Galaxy’s debut album Idiot Fever - a spectacular slice of pop loudness that we are working on at the moment here in the studio with his backing band The Donovans of Trash. At that time, Nelson will do a similar series of weekly podcasts for your listening pleasure. Catch them, and you will be witness to the accomplished songwriting and assured comedy stylings of a true transvestite, rock’n’roll genius.
After that, the podcasts will feature a group of nuns singing hymns, beginning with Jerusalem (page 246) on July 1st.

Sounds great. Mr B says you want him to do with woth drums and backing vocals. I asked him if you can edit… I’m a bad wife.

As always, sounds rather brilliant Napoleon. What’s with the mid-Atlantic accent? Looking forward to hearing the next one. Also, can’t wait to hear my own album. Yummy.
