Road to Nowhere / November 27 2007

Ahhrrgggrrr!!! Roadworks outside the f***ing house! That means no work in the studio for a few hours. I hate it when this shit happens, I knew it would - moving from practically soundproofed premises to the spare room was always going to have its inherent problems. O lovely, lovely Baby Jesus, I know we haven’t had much to say to one another for a few months but could I ask a favour of you, please? Could you kill those nasty dirty men outside the house? And don’t send any more. Thanks.
(I love you, by the way. Amen.)

The Fall recorded all their albums on working sites - with the sound of drilling constantly in the background. It’s all the rage you know.

Did it work?

Yes! I have a feeling they’ll be back, though.
Even so, praying to the Baby Jesus seems the way to go when you really need a favour. Don’t hassle him too much, though, I need him for my stuff quite often - I don’t want to, you know, piss him off and that.
