Wayhey! I’ve won an award!
I have just found out that I have won the Rocking Blogger Award. I was nominated by cool, UK blogger Jo Beaufoix. Thanks awfully, young miss! I would like to dedicate the award to my little dog Audrey, without whom life would not be worth living.
By way of celebration, we shall venture out in the rain shortly for one of our long walks and pick some mushrooms. Tonight we shall indulge ourselves by holding a merry carnival of rich and creamy wild mushroom risotto and flagons of ginger ale. I would open a magnum of champagne but of course I do not drink.

And I must remember to be careful to pick the correct variety of fungi. There have been terrible incidents in the past. I have almost fatally poisoned myself several times by cooking a basketful of Poison Nightcaps or Deadly Lampshades.
But before I do anything, I am going to humbly kneel down in supplication and say a little prayer of thanks to the Baby Jesus, because, as we all know: prayers are like kisses that make wishes come true.
