Automatic Monkey Trousers / December 20 2006

What is that strange yelping sound in the background on songs by The Automatic?
It sounds like a monkey or something.

Me, I say this: Primates on pop songs?

No! It sounds pants.

Ain’t no monkey - it’s a small tourettes-syndrome effected child.
“What’s that coming over the hill?
Is it a monkey, is it a monkey?”

What about primates who sing and write pop songs: Ian Brown, the Monkey King!?

Hmm, he isn’t actually a monkey though, is he?
But he really looks like a monkey, I’ll give you that.
Hehe. Monkey.

He isn’t a monkey?! Good grief! Does he know? If not, somebody should tell him.

Will you two stop right now? What have all those poor little monkies done to you for you to start comparing them to the hideous Ian Brown.

For Shame.

I like Ian Brown. I liked him more when I thought he was a monkey. I still think someone ought to tell him he isn’t a monkey. I hope he isn’t too upset. I wonder what he will be King of next, if he can’t be King Monkey anymore. :S

Hehe. Monkey.

Monkey or Monkie?
Is it just me or is Ian Brown one of the worst singers ever to walk the land?
Total b******xs!
I still keep buying his albums though - maybe it’s the way he dances!

Yes, he is rather lacking in vocal ability, he seems to talk/sing, almost like singing is an afterthought … but I would say Courtney Love is worse, and she’s not even a monkey!

I thought Ian Brown was a donkey. That would explain a lot of his lyrics. Poor old donkey. Working all day long on the beach in the dirty sand, then playing all night long in some dive with sawdust floors to soak up the vomit.
Poor old donkey.

Poor, poor little donkey. See what they did to him. (Sniff.)
He only wanted to be loved.

Donkeys are brown.
